The Beatrix Players are an award-winning eight-piece progressive rock band known for their cinematic soundscapes, intricate musicianship, and emotionally charged live performances. Blending elements of classic prog, art rock, post-rock, and modern experimental textures, the group has built a reputation for crafting expansive compositions that balance technical precision with atmospheric depth.
With a growing international fanbase, the Beatrix Players continue to push creative boundaries, combining technical sophistication with emotional storytelling – carrying the progressive rock tradition forward while forging a sound distinctly their own
After receiving critical acclaim for their first and second albums, they’re back with their third album to delight the ears of their fans once more. It’s a show not to miss!
“The music is shaped and carried by Amy’s expressive, inspiring, and captivating singing, reminiscent of Kate Bush, and Tori Amos, and John Hackett’s intriguing, and versatile flute plays an important role. However, the outstanding quality of all the musicians provides for a perfect balance of each instrument and the entire music very much to sound like a band effort.” DPRP
“Beatrix Players return triumphant with the mesmerising ‘Living & Alive’, a collection of songs that are bewitching and compelling and leave you in no doubt of their stature in the music industry of today. The sublime voice of Amy Birks and outstanding musicianship on show have created one of the most outstanding releases of 2023 and one that should be on your list of must-buy albums, it really is that good!” Prog Radar
“Who would have thought that one would even be reminded of Fleetwood Mac or Jethro Tull. No, no, no plagiarism here! Beatrix Players have created an independent, successful work. It’s worth giving it an ear and diving into an enchanted garden of beautiful sounds, thought-provoking lyrics and impressive vocals. By the end of the album you feel one with the world. That’s worth a lot, isn’t it?” German Genesis Fanclub – Thomas Jesse
